Every Wednesday afternoon I am blessed to visit the kids at the orphanage. We spend an hour each visit reading to them in English and having fun. They bring me such joy at every visit! Here are a few pictures from those afternoons.

Out & About on Geoje Island
It seems this time of year rain is an often accurancy in Okpo :(. We were expecting the rainy season to show itself in July so I am not sure it this is just a preview of what is to come! So when it is nice I try to get outside for hiking, walking, coffee drinking, or more touring! Here are just a few pictures of Tommy & I this past weekend. Our first stop was DSME Shipbuilding Museum & Geoje Island Folk Fishing Museum and our 2nd stop Commencement Park.
Just playing around!

Guksabong Hike
Hiking is a major activity on Geoje Island and little by little I have been venturing out more and more. Yesterday my friend Laura and I decided to take on a big challenge (at least for us), Guksabong Mountain. It is about 2 km and took us 2 hours to climb up and come down. The peak is 464 meters above sea level and at this height I didn't get too close to the edge! It was a great adventure and I am ready to take on the next one!

Budda's Birthday Parade
Budda's Birthday is a national holiday in South Korea on May 10th. We were really looking forward to the parade scheduled on Tuesday but due to rain forecasted they moved it up to this past Saturday. It was so fun while it lasted and Tommy and I received a Budda Prayer Bracelet from a friendly lady and a monk.
