Getting closer to Move In!

Only a few more days until I get to move back into our house!!  Yeah!  The renters have moved out and this week I am busy getting everything ready to move in.  Today the painters finished the nursery and the master bedroom.  Tomorrow the cleaning crew is coming and Thursday the carpet cleaners!  On Monday the 6th the movers will be busy moving our things back were they belong!!  I am so thrilled about getting our house back and getting Theodore's nursery set up.  We are getting so close and I will feel so much better having our home in place in case he comes early.

Baby Showers!!

We have been blessed to have such wonderful friends and family showering us with much needed baby supplies!!  I had my first shower on January 22nd at my friend LeAnne's house.  It was a fantastic event and my friends and family couldn't have done a better job.  Tommy and I were both so surprised by the generosity of everyone (I emailed him pictures of the gifts).  Our little man is going to have everything he needs and more.  Hopefully I just know how to use it all!!  Here are a few pictures of the party, although we forgot to get family & hostess pictures.  We were just too caught up in the excitement.

For those of you that don't know, Tommy calls me Turtle all the time so its only fitting that we have this book.

My mom surprised me with my dishes that I used when I was little.  She also surprised me with her dishes from her childhood as well!

Love the whale bedding from my Dad and Hopie!  Can't wait to set everything up!

My second shower was this past weekend in Spicewood at my Dad's house.  Again, so blessed by all the wonderful guests and gifts we received.  Although I did notice that I am really getting HUGE!!  Beware looking at these photos!

Great news!!  Tommy will be finished working in Korea this March instead of May!  Originally we thought that he would come home for the delivery and have to return until the end of May.  Luckily things have changed and he will be here around March 16th.  We are due March 24th so hopefully the baby won't decide to come early.  On another note, our house will be renter free on January 31st!  So after some painting and cleaning I will get to move us back in and finally get started nesting!!

Sunday, January 8, 2012

Well I am long over due with an update.  We flew home for Christmas on December 22nd and kicked it into high gear with Christmas, visiting family and friends.  This was my last flight from Korea and I have to admit I was thrilled!  I am just ready to get this next chapter of my life started!  Although I was sad to say goodbye to my friends in Korea.  I am thankful for the friends I made and who knows with the oil & gas business I may run into them again somewhere else in the world.

After Christmas, Tommy was able to get a few days fishing in Matagorda and get some much needed guy time while I caught up on some sleep.  The remaining part of his rotation was pretty relaxful and uneventful.  At least nothing to thrilling to write about!

One exciting thing worthy of reporting was our 27 week doctors appointment.  Our baby boy was weighing up to 2 lbs 7 oz and I am sure he has gained another 1 lb these past two weeks.  At least that is the way I feel!  We were also able to get another 3D picture of our little handsome guy.  I have been enjoying my pregnancy but the aches and pains are starting to increase along with the weight gain, ughhh!

Baby Mason at 27 weeks

Baby Bump at 29 weeks

We have 10 more weeks to go until we are ready to welcome him into this world and hopefully it won't be sooner than.  Tommy did have to return to Korea yesterday and it broke my heart and still brings tears to my eyes thinking about it.  The plan is for him to return in time for the delivery, so that is why it is important for Baby Mason to stay happy in my belly!  It is so painful for us to be apart especially right now, so we are just praying these next 10 weeks fly by.

For the time being I am staying in El Campo and in one month I should be able to move back into our house.  It will be great to have my home back with my own space and all of our belongings in one place.
